Meteorologist - Requisition # METEO016333

WTOC is looking for a full-time meteorologist to join the First Alert Weather Team and cover weekend newscasts, as well as provide engaging and dynamic weather content during the week across multiple platforms. The Savannah market experiences all types of weather, from snow to hurricanes. Duties include forecasting and delivering weather segments for scheduled weekend newscasts, producing and anchoring weather segments for WTOC+ streaming and digital platform, creating dynamic social media content for WTOC social platforms, updating the website and mobile apps with accurate forecast information, and working the weather team during severe weather and hurricane coverage. Requires a bachelor's degree in meteorology, broadcast meteorology, or atmospheric sciences and at least two years of experience in an on-air meteorologist role. Familiarity with The Weather Company (WSI) Max computer system preferred.
