Job Description
NWS Meteorologist position serving as Emergency Response Specialist (ERS) providing Impact Based Decision Support Services to emergency managers, emergency response officials, and federal decision makers. Duties include providing accurate, timely weather, water, climate, and environmental information during high-impact events; serving as POC for high-impact weather and water events; providing outreach and coordination with federal, state, and local officials. Requires access to compartmented Specially Sensitive information including briefings for congressional representatives, cabinet members, and senior federal executives. College Park, MD duty station. Requires U.S. Citizenship, drug test, and ability to obtain Special Sensitive security clearance.
